protective packaging project - fairing halves split from rocket payload

A major aerospace manufacturer recently contacted Protective Packaging to provide protection for a payload attach fitting used to secure a rocket’s payload during launch.

April 13, 2018 – Dallas, TX Protective Packaging Corporation has expanded it’s relationship with a major aerospace manufacturer to provide corrosion prevention packaging for payload attach fittings in addition to fairings.

The packaging consists of materials similar to what was used to preserve the company’s rocket fairings during transport: military specification barrier films and desiccant.

The packaging consulting team at Protective Packaging worked with the client on a custom design for corrosion prevention packaging based on the PAFs structure.  This custom solution simplified the preservation process for items packaged for transport.
